Pillar 1:
A Focus on Literacy
Literacy is the cornerstone of all learning. Every STRIVE student enjoys two hours of dedicated literacy instruction daily, plus integrated literacy across all subjects. This approach helps students develop essential reading and writing skills, ensuring they are well-prepared for future success.

Leadership Development
We know that leadership and character are as important as academics. Each week, our Leadership Seminar (I STRIVE) helps students learn and practice leadership skills based on our core values: Self-Advocacy, Teamwork, Resilience, Integrity, Virtue, and Excellence. This ensures our students grow into well-rounded and successful individuals.
Pillar 3: Parent & Community Collaboration
Our role is to connect families, the community, and our students. Through meaningful involvement, we include families in their child's learning process. By partnering with key organizations, we offer enrichment opportunities for students and service learning projects to give back to the community, developing regional leadership and strong community ties.
Pillar 4: Rigorous Academics & Personalized Learning
Every student at STRIVE engages in a rigorous college-prep curriculum. We regularly assess each student's progress to create personalized and evolving learning plans. This ensures our teaching methods and goals are tailored to meet each student's unique needs, helping them succeed and grow academically.
Pillar 5: Effective Use of Additional Time
By extending the school day, we give students and teachers more time to maximize learning and help them become college-ready. Our weekday schedule runs from 7:30 to 4:00, with early dismissal at 1:45 on Wednesdays. Our school year is about two weeks longer than MNPS.

Extracurricular Offerings
There's something for everyone at STRIVE! We create more ways for students to get involved. Our extracurricular activities include soccer, basketball, cheerleading, and track and field. We also offer academic and enrichment programs like yearbook club, student council, and various electives such as chess, art, musical theater, sports, and home economics.

Families are busy, and our students love school life. We extend the love by offering before and after care programs to support working parents and guardians.

Healthy minds require healthy bodies. STRIVE provides free meal programs to qualifying families, including breakfast, lunch, and snacks.

STRIVE provides bus service from anywhere within our transporation area. Reach out to let us know your address and we'll advise you on availability for your area.
